Spotlight on the Training Center at 2643 Main St.

There’s been an exciting new project that is nearing completion at The Arc Erie County that has been in the works for quite some time. The Specialized Workforce Training Center, or simply, the Training Center at our Buffalo location at 2643 Main Street will be the the newest addition to The Arc Erie County’s library of services that we offer.

Located in the newly renovated second floor at 2643 Main Street, The Training Center is an extension of the Employment Services department. Starting in September, we will focus on cultivating skills to ensure a smooth transition to employment for the people we support. The main areas of focus for people enrolled in our program at The Training Center will be Hospitality, Janitorial, Culinary, and Job Readiness.

Thanks to the brand new spaces we have dedicated classrooms to teaching these necessary skills. Not only are there spaces for job-related training, we also have a brand new Art Studio classroom and a room for recreation, called the Social Spot, where people can gather, relax and have fun.

We’ve already had some open houses in July, but we still have a few opportunities for you to tour our lovely new spaces, and maybe you will want to attend these public events. The possibilities are endless with our new space, and we are so excited to share it with everyone. Click the button below to sign up for one of our open houses.
