Guardianship funding received from NYSARC Trust Services for 2025

The Arc Erie County New York has been awarded $27,750 in grants from the Trustee Management Board of NYSARC Trust Services to support the Chapters guardianship.

NYSARC Trust Services administers supplemental needs trusts (SNT) and pooled trusts that can make dramatic improvements to the lives of people with disabilities by enabling individuals to maintain financial eligibility for Medicaid and other means-tested government benefit programs. NYSARC Trust Services is proud to fulfill its commitment to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by awarding a total of $30+ million distributed last year for life-enhancing purposes since 1972.

This year, The Arc Erie County New York received $27,750 and will continue to provide guardianship services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who would not otherwise have a legal guardian or advocate. Supported by Chapter staff and community volunteers, The Arc Erie County New York’s Guardianship Program currently provides guardianship support and services to 6 individuals and is ready to assist 1 more as a Standby or Alternate Standby guardian. These funds may be used for rent or mortgage payment; Irrevocable pre-need funeral arrangements; property maintenance or taxes; travel, recreation, and entertainment; utility bills (gas, electric, water, etc.); cable, cell phone, bills; and other personal needs.

Thank you to NYSARC Trust Services for your ongoing support and dedication to The Arc New York Chapters statewide!
